I have been in the fabrication and equipment repair business for the past 30 years. With roots in the West Texas oilfields of Midland/Odessa, I have extensive experience with all types of oilfield equipment and components. I started out rebuilding power tongs and over time, worked on a wide assortment of equipment- including elevators, acid blenders, mud tanks, cement plants, frac tanks and test tanks to name a few.
I completed two tours in the Mediterranean Sea with the US Navy, beginning when I was 17. I served in the weapons department onboard the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67 , where I picked up a degree in electronics and hydraulics. This was the start of my lifelong interest in machinery and repairs. In 1991, I started as a mechanic for a major scrap metal processing facility in Odessa, Tx, working my way up to Maintenance Supervisor. I gained extensive experience with scrap processing equipment from fork-lifts to the huge Harris “Side-Squeeze” Shears in this position, eventually leading me to start my own business.
After relocating to the Houston area, I started working in the scrap metal processing industry repairing mobile and fixed shears, balers, shredders, car crushers, etc. Adroit is experienced in everything from build-up and hard-surface and hydraulics to major structural repairs . I continue to service and repair all types of scrap processing equipment, as well as continued fabrication and repair work in the oil field and pipeline industry.
